Learning about me..

Matthew 23:10 Nor are you to be called ‘teacher,’ for you have one Teacher, the Christ.  One of the things we know about our divine teacher is He is more interested not in what we know but what we have learned. A lot of times our knowing is just in our head but we have really learned something then it has become heart knowledge.  The Teacher will test our through the fire of difficult circumstances so that what we know will go from our head to our hearts. Our Heavenly Teacher is no different than most teachers in that and He is often quiet to us when we are being tested. You should know that He is here with you but He knows what you need and also what you know. There are times when even though the tests are unexpected He trusts that we are not unprepared.

Even though I am an adult it is just as I was as a child and I still hate tests. I hate the pressure of having to perform and especially the pressure of not wanting to fail.  I am thankful in regards to the nature of my Teacher and His love for me.  Last night it was after a brief pop quiz that I received a revelation about myself.

I learned the sad truth that I have been a pouter.

I may not have a problem doing a certain thing and I may NOT even grumble or complain during the process but I will most definitely sulk and pout. It was a sad revelation to realize the sourness of my own temperament. It was despairing to face but it was something I am  willing and able to deal with in prayer and confession. My pouting and sulking happens when something doesn’t go the way I wanted or planned. It is true there is no commandment that  thou shall not pout or sulk but it was a more personal conviction to me from the Lord.

Right now for all of you I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead you into truth about the kind of temperament you have in public and private and then teach you accordingly. Part of receiving from God means that our hearts must be in proper condition to have the word-seed planted in it. I must advise you though no sooner than you get a word be prepared for the tests of fire. Don’t fight against them but surrender to them. Be Blessed, manie

Luke 5:4-5 (NKJV) When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.”  But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.”

The Lord is saying to us NOW is the time for us to put our faith into action. We have spent enough time building up and strengthening our faith with our decrees, confession and beliefs.  Even though we will never be done building up our faith is time now to make our move. It is time to put into action our faith in that God will not and can not fail us in pursuit of our plans, goals and dreams.

Maybe you are thinking you don’t have every detail figured out and squared away and that is ok for now. The word tells us in Psalm 138:8 (NKJV)  The Lord will perfect that which concerns you.

We have become too comfortable and even complacent where we are in our lives. The truth is that even though our circumstances are less than ideal they are familiar which makes them a little safe for now.  You need to know that the winds of change are blowing in our directions and we can’t be held back by our fears and worries of failure and defeat.

It is time for us to move and go forward in that which God has called us to be and to do. Be Blessed, Manie

Word Curses

Genesis 12:3 (NLT)  I will bless those who bless  you and curse those who treat you with contempt.

In this message I want to teach you about the unseen power of word curses.  When I talk about the word “curse” I am not talking in regards to way we use the word now in modern terms as in profanity or vulgarity. Instead I am talking about something much worse than that.  I want for a moment to teach you about the kind of word curses where others have spoken against you, to you and sometimes by you. The word curses I am talking about are words of criticism, slander, negativity and hurt. These are words that have restricted, hindered and crippled us. Some of us in our lives have not been able to move pass these harsh words that have been released in the atmosphere against us.

Today though is your day of redemption and freedom. It is time for you to start to cancel, rebuke and ultimately destroy these words curses from your soul, your heart and your life.  You are ONLY what your creator has said you are to be.

Philippians 2:10 (NLT) that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth.  It is only in the mighty name of Jesus that you will be able to crush, break and loose from you the chains of bondage that you have been under with word curses.  You must in His name cancel every label and lie the enemy has spoken through others into your life. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and soul and bring to light every word curse you need to destroy. Then put your mouth to word and destroy them all.  It will be done for you according to your faith. Be Blessed, Manie

Trusting God

Psalm 71:1, 5 In you O Lord I put my trust, For you are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust my from youth.

Today I want to let you know there is a difference in believing God and trusting God. The Lord wants us to trust Him when we don’t understand Him. You have to trust that God really loves you and wants the absolute best for your life. There will be times when everything around you contradicts but you have to BELIEVE it anyway.

Psalm 4:5 Offer right sacrifices and trust in the LORD. Be Blessed, Manie

Greater is our God

2 Chronicles 32:7 “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him.

Before I get to my message today I want to tell you that there are times when the LORD will give instructions with his message. This is one of those times. This is a word that you will want to hold on to and read and meditate on over and over.

Today saints of God the Holy Ghost wants you redirect your focus. You have been wasting time thinking about your problems and your troubles for too long. Today the Lord wants you to become focused and consumed with thoughts of HIM.  The Lord is telling you today that HE is GREATER than anything is up against you. The Lord is saying it doesn’t matter how great your problems may seem HE IS GREATER. The Lord is saying He doesn’t care how impossible things may be today HE is GREATER. The Lord is saying it doesn’t matter how long you have struggled with that addiction HE is GREATER. Maybe no one is your family was ever able to be free from the same things you suffer with today you need to know God is Greater.
John 3:30 He must become greater and greater and I must become less and less.
When we focus SOLELY on Him then we see him become greater and greater and our sickness and disease, our lack or need, our hurt and rejection, and our dispair and discouragement become less and less.

Anytime you feel yourself becoming anxious and worried about a specific thing you need to confess 1 John 4:4 over that thing
Our confession is that I belong to God and I have defeated these enemies. God’s spirit is in me and is more powerful that the one (and this thing) that is in the world.
Nothing.. Nothing.. Nothing…is ever greater than our God.
Be Blessed, Manie

The New new

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
For a long time after salvation I still didn’t know the truth about being in Christ. I didn’t know the power of renewing my mind. meditating on the word and speaking out my faith. Even after all that there is a PROCESS to knowing how to receive your newness. It is easy to become stuck in the transition of walking out of the old and into the new.  For me personally there were so many things I just didnt know how to do because I had never done them before. I didn’t know how to walk in peace and happiness. It seemed strange NOT to be worried about something or upset with someone. Is it sad to say that for me just being positive and at peace was not a natural state of my existence. I had to learn to say to my soul to accept and embrace the tranquility of peace and positivity. I have to rebuke my familiarity with misery and anxiety.
I am talking about this all right now because is a MASSIVE spiritual transition taking place for God’s people. Like Joseph in the book of Genesis we are literally being plucked from the prison and being sent to the palace. We are about to experience so much of God’s glory in every area of our lives now.
Today it is imperative that our minds and hearts be prepared for total life prosperity. Make the decision to agree with 2 Corinthian 5:17 and confess that you are ready to be readied for God’s goodness. Be Blessed, Manie
