Your faith life

From the pain of experience I can tell you that unbelief is the worst kind of sin. It moves you out from the presence of the LORD quicker and harsher than anything other kind of sin. It says in Hebrews 11:6 (NLT) And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

So if our faith pleases him then obviously we know our doubt displeases him.  Unbelief causes fear and fear and faith can’t reside together. Today I think about the first line of Romans 4:18 (NLT) it reads Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping-believing that he would become the father of many nations.

Can you imagine not having a reason for hope? We all have been to that point of having everything on the line and needing for God to come through for us in a major way. Then you barely come out of the situation by the skin of your teeth. Barely making it out is definitely not the BIG finish you had in mind from the Lord. You sit there numb, confused and not knowing what to do.

The word for you today is that against all hope you must hope anyway. Right now it may seem like everything and even wants to tell you that God has forgotten about you but STILL keep your hope in HIM anyway. God has not forgotten about you. God can never forsake you.  Job 13:15 (AMP) [I do it because, though He slay me, yet will I trust Him and] behold, He will slay me, I have no hope—nevertheless, I will maintain and argue my ways before Him and even to His face.

Remember the word of God in Joshua 21:45 that not one word of His promises to the children of Israel failed. God trust you with this warfare. He knows that He has placed in you what it takes to get to the other side.

This faith walk is deeper than getting houses, cars and other things. This faith thing is the CORE of our relationship with God. Everything between Him and us is based on faith. We believe He is who He says He is when we can’t see Him, touch Him or feel Him. We believe everything He says to us before we see it.  Let me tell you the devil is not just trying to keep you from just getting a house, or some money. He attacks those things to ultimately try and steal your faith. He knows that if he can anyway destroy your faith in God then he can kill you. I know we like to focus on the end of John 10:10 which is the MOST powerful part of that scripture but still the first part warns us that enemy does want to steal, kill and destroy us. The devil doesn’t care about your marriage. The enemy doesn’t need your job or your money. He just wants to steal, kill and destroy your faith because when you have no faith then you have no life. It reads in Hab. 2:4 The righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.

The word of the LORD for you to today is know that your life is ROOTED in your faith. Colossians 2:6-7 And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

Bully Tactics..

2 Chronicles 20:15b Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God. Verse 17 says You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, who is with you.
2 Corinthians 4:4a calls satan, the god of this world…
Matthew 10:28 (NLT) “Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
If you know anything about bullies it is that they pick on people they feel may be weaker than themselves. You know the all too familiar scenario of the popular bulky high school football player who picks on the skinny weak intellectual guy. Or the pretty cheerleader girls who always isolate and target the loner overweight girl. The menacing supervisor at the job he knows you desperately need to have. Or any person in a position of authority over you who uses that position to hinder or hurt and not help you.
For the victims in these very real situations they never see the cowardice of their opponents who intentionally pick out a weaker target. Instead they see  them as powerful and intimidating. Yet the truth is that they are being used by the enemy to hurt others and being allowed the very brief chance to feel good about themselves.
Even in scripture we see a very powerful King Herod try and kill a newly born baby Jesus.
I can personally say that I have dealt with enough bullies to now know it was just the enemy trying to create the stronghold of weakness and inferiority in my life. My issue was never with flesh and blood. And that is the same truth for all of us today. You have to realize that you are a million times more powerful and stronger than you ever thought possible. It would do you some good to look back over your life and see all the trials and tribulations that you came through with the LORD. All of the things the enemy sent your way to steal, kill and destroy you has only made you MORE of a force to be reckoned with against hell. Just like with all bullies the devil knows he is defeated.  You are a warrior for the kingdom of God.
You need to know with all your heart, soul and spirit there is NO other name that is more exalted than the name of Jesus. It is at His name that every other name must bow. It reads this in Philippians 2:10 (NLT) for everything in heaven, on earth and under the earth His name is supreme. When you come against ANYTHING in the name of Jesus you can’t be conquered. When you use His name you can’t be overwhelmed. When you speak out His name you won’t be defeated.
Acts 3:16 (NLT) “Through faith in the name of Jesus, this man was healed-and you know who crippled he was before. Faith in Jesus’ name has healed him before your very eyes.
Mark 28:18 Jesus came and told his disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth.

Matt. 21:22 (NLT) You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.
Mark 11:24 (NLT) I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours.
As we chew and meditate on these two scriptures it should really be RHEMA and REVELATION knowledge to us that there is no way for God not to give us what we are asking and believing for in faith. Listen to that word and let it SINK deep into your hearts right now. It should never be considered or possible for God to NOT show up and come through for you when you ask Him. The problem with most of us is that our faith is often watered down with the dilution of our past experiences of not seeing certain answers show up in our lives. I don’t know how long you believed and confessed but the bible promises us that we WILL RECEIVE if we ask and believe.
I have learned the importance of believing and confessing until the manifestation shows up. Faith comes by hearing and hearing and hearing the Word of God. It reads in Hebrews 10:23 (NLT) Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep his promise.

So again I say to you make the decision to keep moving forward and make the decision  to TAKE the testimony of  Matthew 21:22 & Mark 11: 24 and know that there is NO way that you can’t receive from God. To add to the testimony of those 2 scriptures is the power of the prayer of faith recorded in 1 John 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Don’t let the enemy talk you out of your faith. There are times when the enemy will tell you that you don’t have the faith it takes to get what you want from God. You must know that to everyone God has given us the measure of faith. Sometimes we put so many CONDITIONS on our faith that it literally feels like a faith checklist to get God to move for us. The truth plain and simple is that our faith is in His faithfulness and goodness for us. My faith can’t fail me BECAUSE God won’t fail me. The enemy will try and make you measure the quality of your faith by what you are feeling and thinking about the situation.  Yet the words says about faith in Hebrews 11:1 of the Amplified this- NOW FAITH is the assurance(the confirmation, the title deed)of the things[we]hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].
Your senses have no part and power regarding your faith. They will NEVER be on the same level. See it may be that you are believing for God to bless you with a very substantial amount of money or healing in your body from an incurable disease. It may be that there is no way your natural mind or feelings can wrap itself around what you are expecting God to do for you. And guess what that is ok. Your senses are not suppose to validate your level of faith. That is why you walk by faith and not by sight. Don’t let the fact that you don’t feel very faithful STOP you from decreeing that you still have faith in GOD to do what His word promises that He has done. Stop trying to come to grips in the natural with what you are believing for from the supernatural.
There are so many times that I let the enemy talk me out of my promises by deceiving me to think I didn’t have the kind of faith that was needed to see a certain prayer come to pass for me.  The truth is that we DO have faith that causes the power of God to move for us. Our faith is BASED on God’s word. It is rooted from His Love and care for us. When you have His word then you have FAITH.  When you know His love then you have faith. The truth is that your faith will not fail you. The truth is that our faith is not in what we can make happen but what we are believing for God to make happen for us.  You don’t need to think that you need to work at this ONE more day to have enough faith to see the power of God manifest for you. You have enough faith right now.

Exodus 12:35-36…And the people of Israel did as Moses had instructed; they asked the Egyptians for clothing and articles of silver and gold. The LORD caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the Israelites, and they gave the Israelites whatever they asked for. So they stripped the Egyptians of their wealth!
This is a passage of scripture that a lot of people are not familiar with when it comes to the children of Israel. See it was not enough that God destroyed the government that had oppressed his people for so long. It was not enough that he performed the miraculous when he sent the plagues against Pharaoh and the Egyptians and even parted the Red Sea. It was not enough that they were STILL on their way to the land of Canaan which God said to be flowing with milk and honey. Even still with all that God gave them their enemy’s wealth as they went on their way from their place of bondage.
Today the Lord is saying to you that you must KNOW that it is not His intent for us to leave our current situation with just barely enough.  God is saying to you today that after all of your endurance, perseverance and patience he wants you to leave with MORE than enough.
It always the nature, character and ability of God to do MORE than what we ask or think.
Jesus didn’t just die on the cross and was resurrected three days later. Now mind you that would have been miraculous enough on its own. But He walked up out of the tomb full of victory, authority and power over all the works of the enemy. He rose having paid the FULL price for our redemption and forgiveness. He went to grave already being able to healed the hurting, giving sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf, and delivering the oppress. Yet He rose with the NAME that is exalted above every name.
Today I want to tell you to believe, speak and confess that  you are right now coming out better than you went in. Today decree your FULL rights and privileges as a child of God.
Job 8:7 (NLT) And though you started with little, you will end with much.
Ephesians 3:20 (NLT) Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

A lot of us grew up under the oppression of criticism and abandonment so we developed a “screw-up” complex.  We believed and lived like we couldn’t do anything right in our lives. We never expect good breaks and chances of favor to come into our lives.
Even after being born again we took the same complex into our walk with Christ because we didn’t know that we were new creations and all of the old had passed away. So just like things never worked out with us in the world then things never worked out for us in the kingdom.
We slipped, we fell, we missed the mark and it felt like over and over we let God down and that was why He was not blessing us like we begged Him too.
For a long time even in Christianity I thought there was a special formula to receiving from God and I still wasn’t good enough to get it. I didn’t know about righteousness and grace. All I knew was about sin and conviction. I was always trying to be “GOOD” for God.
It has only been cemented in my heart and soul in the last year that what I was trying to for me but couldn’t in fact Christ had already done.
He paid the price that I never could and NOW never have to again. And still the amazing truth is that what He has done is FOREVER. The enemy may accuse, harass, distort or insinuate all that he wants to but I KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH HAS MADE ME FREE.
And that truth is that God is for us. God loves us. God wants to bless us. God will never leave nor forsake me. With Christ I am victorious, successful and prosperous. There is NOTHING for me to do but openly believe, receive and accept what Christ has done for me.
The truth is we serve a GREAT,LOVING and JUST God.

In our relationship with God and especially in our walk of faith the message of our righteousness is a very important one. Many of us have disqualified and discredited ourselves for so long from the blessings and best that God has for us. We believe that we will never be good enough to receive from God. We are always listening to and giving into the lies of the enemy that we fell short and miss the mark.
We have listened to the church talk that keeps reminding us of our sinful ways and lowly position with God. We never really grasp the truth of us being His children. We never claim the fullness of the truth that Jesus has paid the PRICE in FULL and our redemption is final.
First of Jesus did for us what He wanted to do for us. He laid down His life and picked it back up on His own. The bible says as the Father loves HIM so has He loved us. He calls for us to remain in His love.
Romans 5:18 (NLT) Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.
Galatians 3:13 (NLT) But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing. For it is written in the Scriptures, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
Colossians 1:12 (NLT) always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
You have counted yourself OUT long enough it is time NOW to get into agreement with God and count yourself in.

A big taste of freedom

John 8:31-32 (NLT) Jesus said to the people who believed in him, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
John 6:36 (NLT) So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.
Today I want to talk briefly about the great taste of being free. The biggest deliverance Christ has given to me is in knowing the truth about who I am in HIM. Part of that freedom is being able to look back and see where and who I was before and NOT have the pain of the former bondage get to me. There is freedom in knowing that another people has no power over in me in what they say, think, feel or do to me. There is freedom in knowing that NOTHING that change the WORD that God has placed over me regarding my life.
And now that I have gotten such a big taste of freedom from my former negative self-image there is no way I could go back to being that person ever again. There is no way that I could tolerate being purposely being around an individual that doesn’t absolutely celebrate who I am.
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV) For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. ” Eat and drink!” he says to you, But his heart is not with you.
I give others the freedom to choose if their heart is with me or not. And still I give myself the freedom to not tolerate mistreatment of any kind. I don’t want to be in relations with a person and there heart is not all the way with me. In my relationships there is no such thing as casual acquaintances. Either a person is all the way IN with me or they are all the way out. I love and pray for everyone but my inner circle is just a select few. We have to be careful to be around others that help us and not hinder us.
You can reach out and minister to others in love but be cautious not to let them be in a stumbling block in your own life. Ask for discernment when you deal with others. Don’t compromise and never settled. Keep pressing forward and reaching higher as you taste more and more of the freedom of having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
